[Release] For their ninth digital only Area Remote release the label kindly welcome Sidney Charles & Tapesh. Sidney Charles started discovering the magic of the two black discs spinning on the 1210s at the age of 15. After experimenting with Hip Hop, Soul, Funk and Breakbeat he discovered that the higher BPM-tracks of House and Techno more suited his style, which can best be described as a love-binding kind of music. He released his first EP in 2011. Back when he was a young teenager, Tapesh dived into the growing US and UK Breakdance, Funk and Acid House scene and uncovered an enormous musical talent. His multi-cultural roots, as well as his experience and feeling for mixing the popular with the uncommon give Tapesh sets that flamboyant magic-potion touch you will only find one in a million.
This EP is Sidney Charles and Tapesh first release on Area Remote. With its Deep House feel, they certainly hit the jackpot. ‘Pot’, the thumping beat provides a clean track that adds elements as you go, creating a perfect melting pot of enticing melodies, relaxing percussions and rallying vocals. ‘Ghetto Diva’, the solo track by Sidney Charles, oozes sex, with its erratic, upbeat percussions, penetrating beat, seductive vocal edits and sensual synthesizer melodies. Were under Sidney Charles love-binding spell for sure. ‘All I Need’, the dessert of this EP, has an uplifting, energizing beat and a deep and dark melody. It is all you need to get your groove on.
