Sainte Vie is the founder of the Akumandra label and now serves up its third release. it is another tasteful cut that continues to establish the label as a real great new addition to the scene.
The music is meditative and thoughtful throughout, with High Seas a smooth and widescreen roller with gentle hits and the sound of distant claps on the horizon. Whale is more upbeat with a lead synth that burrows deep into your brain and knowing beats that make you move while the closer totally switches things up with slow motion drums, lazy claps and lush chords that are heartfelt and tender. It’s a class way to end a superb EP.
