RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue Records has announced its first-ever Rose Avenue Compilation Vol. 1, due out August 4th. Set to feature tracks by label favorites and new faces, the announcement arrives with its first track ‘Day 8’ by Dutch techno producer Colyn, out now.

The forthcoming 10-track compilation serves as the debut from the artist-run label launched by RÜFÜS DU SOL. With Vol. 1, Rose Avenue will continue to shine a light on the emotive indie dance sounds they’ve tailored through artists like Modern Tales, Luke Alessi, Colyn, and Township Rebellion, while highlighting new talent to the Rose Avenue family including Enamour, Julya Karma, Bigfett. Arodes, HWIN, and Sainte Vie.

An intriguing introduction to the new compilation curated by dance music’s famed trio, ‘Day 8’ is a 6-minute sonic odyssey into Colyn’s ethereal and entrancing melodic techno. Mesmerizing with every twist and turn, ‘Day 8’ is saturated in hypnotic countermelodies, smoothly transitioning between tenacious synth lines and rhythmic layers. Colyn’s offering serves as a testament to the forward-thinking, emotionally-evocative sound RÜFÜS DU SOL has attracted with Rose Avenue Records.

Regarding his compilation contribution, Colyn said, “‘Day 8’ has been a staple in my sets for a long time and it’s been a long sought after ID by a lot of fans, so I’m happy it’s finally seeing the light through Rose Avenue. The continuous support and friendship with RÜFÜS DU SOL makes it feel like coming home to be part of the label again for this new compilation. The compilation has an interesting selection with some artists that I really love like Luke Alessi.”

Founded in 2018, Rose Avenue Records was designed to foster creativity and house like-minded talent. Drawing its name from the Venice, CA house where the trio of founders wrote their Grammy-nominated album SOLACE, Rose Avenue has become home to acts like Anyma, Cassian, Lastlings, Paraleven, and more. Since its inception, Rose Avenue has built a catalog of 50+ stunning originals and remixes, as well as a reputation as one of electronic music’s favorite tastemakers.
