LA-based producer and instrumentalist Edward White has released his new Endlessly EP, out now via Dirtybird Records.

Swirling with a flare for funky melodies and jazz-inspired rhythms, Edward White’s latest three-track EP opens with its soulful titular track, ‘Endlessly’. Offering a diverse musical landscape, ‘Endlessly’ charms with sultry vocal chops and groovy accents. Moving into the next track, ‘Vert’ counters the shiny tones of ‘Endlessly’ with gritty layers of reverbed basslines and meticulous percussion. The final piece, ‘All I Want Is You’, is a wondrous blend of its predecessors as it incorporates the soft synth-driven characteristics of ‘Endlessly’ and rolling two-step drumbeat present in ‘Vert’. Closing with a dreamy blend of indie and lo-fi house inspirations, ‘All I Want Is You’ is intimate and warm, swelling with the romantic sentiments that echo the track’s title.

Describing the EP, Edward White said, “All these tracks are connected with a similar thread of two-step drum patterns, while the darker, frenetic energy of ‘Vert’ is juxtaposed by the upbeat, optimistic chord stabs in ‘Endlessly’ and romantic pad sounds in ‘All I Want Is You’. I spent a lot of time trying to finish ‘Endlessly’ and when I added the main vocal, the whole track seemed to fall into place. I really like the idea of thoughts and feelings being endless (like a love for family and friends) in a world where materialistic things are very much not.”

Endlessly marks a befitting debut on Dirtybird’s forward-thinking and genre-bending White Label. With Endlessly, Edward White joins recent White Label releases including Danny Goliger and Choopsie’s ‘Cycling’, Nikki Nair and Nala’s ‘The World Is Always Ending’, and Hugo Massien’s ‘Fast Forward’. In typical White Label fashion, Endlessly arrives as a vinyl release, available for purchase here.
