Hey RHOOWAX, thanks for chatting to Music Is 4 Lovers. How’s your 2025 going so far? Do you have any highlights you can share?
Thank you for having me! It’s a real pleasure to be part of this interview; I always enjoy sharing my journey and connecting with people through music.
2025 has been an exciting year so far, and I’m grateful for the new personal and professional milestones I’m achieving. I’ve been releasing music on labels that I’ve admired for a long time, and it feels like the hard work is finally paying off. Every step forward motivates me to keep growing as an artist and person. This year, I’ve received overwhelming support from some of the biggest DJs in the scene; seeing legends like Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Paco Osuna playing my tracks is incredibly fulfilling as it confirms that I’m on the right path. One of my biggest releases yet is set to come out in October…I can’t reveal too much yet, but it’s something really special.
Your latest EP, ‘Lost In Melody’, is out now on Motel Calypso Records. We’d love to know more about the record and how crowds have responded so far.
My EP ‘Lost In Melody’ on Motel Calypso is very close to my heart. It’s a blend of groovy tech house and rich percussive layers. The title track was created with the idea of getting completely lost in the melody… to escape reality and enter another dimension through music. It’s a dancefloor track, but with emotional depth and atmosphere.
What has been the most impactful moment of your career and why?
The most defining moment in my career was moving to Barcelona seven years ago. That move changed everything. I met people who believed in me and supported my growth without expecting anything in return. It gave me the foundation and courage to pursue music full-time and keep pushing forward.
As an Italian DJ, what would you say sets apart your underground scene from the rest of the world?
Italy’s underground scene has always had a strong presence. There’s a deep love for electronic music in Italy, though in recent years it’s faced challenges, especially with the decline in club culture and education around music. Still, there’s incredible talent and a passionate community keeping the fire alive.
Who would you most like to go B2B with?
My dream B2B would be with Marco Carola. He’s not just a legend but a key reference point for my musical identity. Playing alongside him would be a huge honor and a full-circle moment.
Why should people listen to RHOOWAX?
Why listen to RHOOWAX? Because I aim to bring energy, soul, and authenticity to the dancefloor. It’s not just about beats — it’s about emotion, connection, and having a good time.
Have you had any artists or certain tracks on repeat recently?
My listening habits are constantly evolving.
I love exploring new sounds, browsing online platforms, and digging into undiscovered gems. I don’t limit myself to one style or artist… inspiration can come from anywhere.
With summer around the corner, where can we expect to see you playing?
This summer, you’ll find me in Ibiza.
I’ll be playing multiple shows at Keeper Club and possibly more dates to be announced soon. Ibiza always feels like home… the energy, the people, the vibe… I can’t wait to be back and share new music with everyone.
