Continuing the theme of retro visuals and aesthetics juxtaposed with the modern era, the new music video for the hit single ‘Dopamine’, directed by James Fitzgerald, pays homage to the decade which inspired much of Purple Disco Machine’s work. Starring the Dresden native as an eccentric scientist, along with the help of his mini robot, Purple Disco Machine calls on his sleekly moustached 80s Calfifonian sidekick to rescue Eyelar from 2021 with his time travelling Chevy Camaro.
The video release follows recent playlist additions with Spotify UK New Music Friday and KISS Dance, that is sure to make this the essential track for end of summer parties. For the new single, Purple Disco Machine has teamed up with London based, Dutch born singer/songwriter Eyelar, who has had a stellar career to date having written and collaborated with the likes of Demi Lovato, Little Mix, Charli XCX, Bastille and David Guetta, whilst being heavily supported by BBC Radio 1, and recently selling out her first headline show at London’s Camden Assembly this coming September. ‘Dopamine’ is a harmonious combination of Eyelar’s effervescent hooks and pop sensibilities, and Purple Disco Machine’s signature bass lines and overall funk.
