Spread across Berlin and London, Arpy Brown aka Athlete Whippet (the musical moniker of Robin Paul Braum) has become an integral part of both cities’ scenes in recent years, with releases and remixes for the likes of Toy Tonics, Aus Music, Rhythm Section and Kitsuné Musique.

The EP’s title is a nod to Arpy’s life between the two cities. It opens with the vibrant and energetic indie dance anthem ‘Close Enough’, a collaboration with long-standing friend Aphty Khéa which touches on the deeper side of modern indie dance and house. Second is title track ‘But I Miss You Everyday’, which unlike its melancholic title is a joyful and playful vocal track, delivered with youthful energy. The final track ‘Thought You Never Would’ is an indie dance/nu-disco cut which closes the EP on an energetic note featuring old-school-inspired vocals and timeless production. A fitting conclusion to an EP that showcases both emotional depth and danceable energy.

Attached to his premiere, Arpy takes us on a journey through some warm and soulful grooves with his ‘Lovers 7’ chart!

Arpy Brown’s Lovers 7

Hard Drive Library, Boom Le Choc – Deeper Love

Literally JUST discovered this song – think it’s pretty new! Really really good edit. I’ve been following what these guys have been up to for a while.

Barbara Boeing & Sam Ruffillo – Tokyo Love Affair

Two of my favourite people in music collaborating and obviously the outcome is brilliant!

Arpy Brown – But I Miss You Everyday

This one’s the title track from my new EP. It’s my little ode to lovers and how it feels to be apart.

Close Counters – I Want You

I’ve been playing this out at almost every show over the last year or so. Also had the pleasure of meeting them in Melbourne and Berlin and getting into the studio together!

Viken Arman – Can’t Do Without You

Viken is one of those unbelievable talents. I met him in Berlin a couple years ago and this is from his album which dropped last year. Quite a new direction for him, but SO GOOD!

BB Boogie – Tell Him (Booty Bounce Mix Part 2)

Let’s mention the other side of love, too. It doesn’t always go well of course. Love the sass on this track!

COEO – Japanese Woman

Andy and Flo are not just two of the nicest but also two of the best in music these days for me! This might honestly be my favourite edit to date. I often end the night with it when I play closing sets. Makes everyone go home with a smile!
