Joint4Nine and Felipe Gordon’s Nomada Records comes correct with the deftly curated output and a blinding new EP from ILO. Originally hailing from Iceland, but now based in London, ILO has been on my radar since his tasty rework of the club classic, “Everybody, Everybody” by Black Box that was vinyl only on FOTO Recordings way back when.
On the Homes EP, ILO collects four tunes that traverse the deeper and funkier sides of club geared music. Clocking in at just under 11 minutes, “The Horns” features a hypnotic bassline, crunchy percussion and filtered riffs and vocals to get your booties moving. Out soon.
