If you’ve ever been to Minneapolis, you may have found yourself muttering “It’s too cold”, while bracing bone-chilling, negative degree wind chills across your nose. In Miami, with sweat dripping down your brow at even the most simple of movements, it is often “too hot” in that tropical climate. Midwest production duo, Niles Shepard team up with Miami’s Ayarez to combine not only their individual production styles, but also the climates of their respective hometowns on Hot N Cold. The combo delivers a nice and chunky dance floor scorcher with tribal influence for their debut record on We Jack. Marked by thick and heavy, yet well balanced low end, and arpeggiated percussion, Hot N Cold uses minimal elements to make a big impact.
