With more than 25 years immersed in electronic music, Oscar Rosmano’s relationship with progressive house runs deep. From formative encounters with the genre’s late-’90s pioneers to records that have soundtracked pivotal moments in his life, his influences span decades of deep, emotional and hypnotic club music.
For his playlist feature, the Lisbon-based DJ, producer and Temple Club owner selects ten tracks that have shaped his musical outlook, including timeless cuts from Sasha, BT, Chicane, Bedrock and Guy J alongside more recent personal favourites.

Choosing just ten tracks after more than twenty five years in electronic music is almost impossible. This isn’t a ranking, and it’s certainly not a list of the best records ever made. These are simply ten tracks that for different reasons, left marks on me, inspired me, shaped my musical taste, or accompanied important moments in my life. I also decided not to include many recent productions because that would be unfair to so many incredible artists who continue to inspire me every day, share music with me, and help me discover new sounds. This playlist is simply a small snapshot of my journey. Oscar Rosmano
BT – Mercury & Solace
One of the tracks that completely changed the way I listened to music (I was a metal fan). It showed me that dance music could also be emotional, cinematic and beautiful. A timeless masterpiece and my first maxi single ever bought.
Chicane – Saltwater
This record takes me straight back to the late 90s. It perfectly captures the emotion and atmosphere that made me fall in love with progressive music and remains one of my biggest inspirations.
Sasha – Xpander
Probably one of the most influential electronic records ever made. A true anthem. It represents everything I love about progressive house.
Guy J – Dizzy Moments
Guy J has always been one of my favourite producers. This track reminds me that simplicity, emotion and groove can create something incredibly powerful. I get goosebumps everytime I listen to this track.
Guy J – Candyland (King Unique Remix)
A perfect remix. Deep, hypnotic and constantly evolving. It’s one of those tracks that taught me how important dynamics and subtle changes are in a long DJ set.
Bedrock – Heaven Scent
Another anthem! This record represents an era when John Digweed and Nick Muir were redefining progressive house. It has remained a reference for me for over two decades.
Schiller – Ruhe (Humate Remix)
One of the most beautiful progressive remixes ever produced. Who doesn’t like it???? Emotional without being sentimental, and a reminder of why I became obsessed with this genre.
Marino Canal – Radiance
A much more recent record, but one that means a lot to me. During the pandemic, while we were all confined at home, my wife, who wasn’t really into electronic music, loved listening to this track. Every time I hear it, it takes me back to that period. I still play it often!
Baboop – Yes We Can (Luis Junior Remix)
Luis Junior has always had a unique way of creating melody. This track became a constant in my sets and reminds me how powerful subtle music can be. It´s a symphony.. it sounds like a U2 concert, isn’t it?
Audio Junkies – Deeper (Original Mix)
A record that perfectly represents the sound I still love today. Deep, elegant and timeless. Even after all these years, it continues to inspire the way I approach both DJing and production.
