Conscious Expansion is “focussed around the soul-expanding expressions of electronic and ambient music” and now the London party kicks off with a new EP that features three remixes.
Opening things up is Icaro Sagrado (Othon Remix), a jittery remix with layers of drums, harmonic keys and wordless vocals that really get you in a state of hypnosis. The widescreen sounds continue on Cura Sana (Othon Remix), a star gazing cut with deep drums and languid instrumentals all extending off to an infinite horizon. Lastly, Mamae Oxum (Othon Remix) is a transcendental journey with loose drums and hits and female vocal coos adding layers of richness. Its’ a final killer cut to kick start the label in fine fashion.
