[New Release] Exploited Records has been on fire lately with massive releases from Claptone, Adana Twins, Doctor Dru, and Urulu. Continuing this streak, Exploited presents Chris James, half of Coat of Arms, and Lee Dearn in a joint collaboration called Purple Velvet that brings a sultry deep sound in Flashways.
Purple Velvet already graced us by giving away their first two tracks for free on Soundcloud, but now you can help support the artists by picking up their latest release. The title song ‘Flashways’ is a stellar track with a wicked bass line and their use of synths give it that laid back, old school feel. The second track from the release, ‘You Are,’ is an incredible song bringing back that famous 808 sound, and surely setting a vibe that will get anyone moving. This release is a great follow up to the already incredible catalog that Exploited has cultivated. Quality sounds from a quality label and I cannot wait to see what more they have up their sleeves!!!
