Hey Renato! Welcome to Music Is 4 Lovers. How’s your summer going?

Hi everybody! Thanks, it’s been intense, moving on with new projects and ideas.

Next month, you’re providing the latest EP for your D-Edge imprint with ‘Diving’. Could you give us a deep dive into this release?

Of course.‘Diving’ is an EP that has elements of house and minimal deep tech grooves. These are songs that I had been working on when I was at home or in between trips (I have a house with a sea view and this has been a recurring inspiration). Im glad with the final result and the feedbacks.

You’ve been heading up the recently launched ‘Surreal Park’ in Camboriú, how have the events been going and what are some notable moments that have stuck with you since the opening?

The project is really very special and challenging because it is a really big club, I always try to raise the level with each new date. I can say that Surreal Park has already established itself as one of the main clubs in South America; we had several memorable moments, especially because our curation is excellent. Carl Cox was magical, and also carnaval when they played about 8 hours, as well as a long b2b with Seth Troxler; It was great.

What’s your favourite song to play in DJ sets right now and why?

My remix for ‘Terça Feira’, a track from my mate Cesare vs Disorder, released last month on D-Edge Records.

You’ve devoted over 17 years to music, establishing yourself as a major player in Brazil’s dance scene; what would you say is the defining moment of your career?

I can say that I wake up every day with the same motivation and passion for my work. Having ideas and being able to carry them out is a gift. I could say that I’m more mature every day and always try to improve as a person, transmit good vibes, good music, generate jobs and meet new artists.

Away from the DJ booth or the studio, do you have an particular hobbies or passions?

I usually exercise and take care of my health so I can perform my role as a businessman more competently. I love my family, my wife, and I love my animals who help me maintain balance.

With summer in full swing, where can we expect to see you playing?

I had a really full schedule, including several dates in Europe but unfortunately I had a family problem and canceled practically everything. I believe that soon everything will be fine and that I can return with full strength.
