Dirtybird alumni Kidd Mike and MAGNVM! have joined forces for a new single ‘Brain Chatter’ out now via Dirtybird Records.

‘Brain Chatter’ sees two of the label’s most eclectic talents team up for a bombastic new collaboration. Rumbling with rippling bass lines, cheeky vocal chops, and snappy percussion, ‘Brain Chatter’ was built for dark rooms and underground dance floors, in line with the mischievous sounds of Dirtybird’s discography. The collaboration speaks to the global impact Dirtybird has had on dance music for nearly 20 years, bridging a bi-continental pairing of South Africa’s Kidd Mike and Italy’s MAGNVM!.

“The distorted bassline of ‘Brain Chatter’ twists and turns as it evolves into a beast of its own. Built with the purpose to elevate any dancefloor, the hypnotic vocals lead into the break where we are left in suspension… and then we meet the lead drum that thumps its way into your body, making you throw your hands and smile as you know the set is about to peak.” – Kidd Mike

South African-born Kidd Mike started producing his upfront flavor of tech-house in 2009, when he first moved to the UK, immediately engrossed by the edgy sound of the underground house scene. His growing profile has seen releases on My Techno Weighs A Ton, This Ain’t Bristol, and more. Kidd Mike made his Dirtybird debut in 2022 with ‘Boom Beat Heart Box’.

Milan-based DJ and producer MAGNVM! has been exploring house, tech, breakbeat and bass sound both on the dancefloor and in the studio for a few years now. He has released music on labels such as My Techno Weighs A Ton, and House Of Hustle, gaining support by DJs including Jamie Jones, Marco Carola, Claude VonStroke, Joris Voorn, Monki and more. No stranger to Dirtybird, MAGNVM! has been steadily building with releases on Birdfeed like ‘Popeye’ and ‘Poopdeck Pappy’, the latter of which was featured on Best of the Birdfeed (Vol. 3), before being promoted to the main label last year with his Clap EP.

Kidd Mike and MAGNVM! invite the flock to stream their new single ‘Brain Chatter’ out now on all platforms.
