Two of electronic music’s finest Brazilian artists, Joyce Muniz and Renato Cohen, have collaborated for the first time on the infectious No Haters, released on on Permanent Vacation.

Following Joyce Muniz’s acclaimed 2023 album Zietkapsel, the Berlin-based artist hit up her old friend Renato Cohen for some inspiration and potential collaboration. The calling was answered immediately. The firing result is an Italo-inspired, bassline driven, hypnotic whirlwind.

From the first beat, big ’80s bass kicks and hi-hats grab your complete attention until eight bars in, that delayed Italo bassline just takes hold of you completely. This is joyous music to make you dance and feel good. When the vocals add to the party and slick synth layers build to crescendo, you are guaranteed to be on the dancefloor. Just for tonight, leave your worries at the door.

Joyce Muniz explains: “We called the track No Haters because of the weird energy around the world currently. We need less hate. Renato and I are both positive music lovers. And the only way we can bring these positive vibes to the people is through our music. No Haters should definitely bring some positive energy to the floor!”

Renato Cohen adds: “We’ve known each other for a long time, always with a mutual admiration for each other’s work. In recent years, our music has been getting closer and closer, making now the perfect time for us to collaborate on a track together.”
