Jordan Peak makes his Trick debut with ‘I Need A Freak’

Previously tipped by DJ Mag and BBC R1’s Pete Tong as one to watch, Jordan Peak has been cooking up polished house and techno grooves for over a decade, dropping chart-topping material on labels such as Moxy Muzik, Edible, and his own Peak Trax imprint, whilst also picking up high praise from the likes of Disclosure and Carl Cox. Adding another label debut to his extensive catalogue, the UK talent heads for Patrick Topping’s Trick with the mammoth ‘I Need A Freak’.

“I wrote this song after a night out at fabric in London. The staff wear t-shirts that have the message “DON’T BE A CREEP” in big, bold letters, and when I saw the shirts, the idea for this song just came to me. Once I had the lyrics written I made the beat and used AI to change my voice into a female one. That’s my normal voice in the breakdown, and every vocal you hear on the song is mine, apart from the dog bark haha. This track is me further exploring my MaCHiNE HOUSE sound I am trying to develop and really push the boundaries of what’s possible to do musically with today’s technology.” – Jordan Peak.
