Madrid-based artist BizZa, known for releases on labels like Moan, Rawtracks, Issues, Roush and NEVERENDZ, has been making waves in the music scene. Now, making a return to Dennis Cruz and Eddy M’s imprint MUSE, BizZa sits down with us to delve into his most recent collaborative EP with Discip.

Hello BizZa, and welcome to Music is 4 Lovers. How are you doing and what have you been up to recently?

Hello, Music 4 Lovers team! Great to be with you!

I have been working on new collaborations with new artists. I have also recently signed several releases for 2024 and I have several gigs in Liverpool, Valencia, Badajoz and Barcelona. So, come and enjoy with me!

You have a new release out on MUSE in collaboration with Discip., what can you tell us about this release?

It’s our most anticipated release of the year, for both of us. We are really excited about the support this EP has received  from the worldwide industry.

How did you first decide to collaborate on this track? What brought you guys together for this project?

We had been in touch through social media and we both dig each other’s music, but due to our agenda, it was difficult to get together. Finally, I went on a tour to Argentina and we decided to get together. We just wanted to have a good time together in the studio and surprise, surprise, out of the blue we created the EP!

Given your extensive discography with releases on labels like Deeperfect, elrow, Roush and many more, how do you decide when choosing the right label for your music?

Hahaha, I never make music thinking in a specific label… I sincerely do what I feel and what comes up in my studio. That is to say, I go with the flow and I let my tracks sound like myself and like my style.

With your ever-growing party series and record label ‘Ohana.house.Paries’, how do you curate the lineup for your parties, and what factors do you consider when selecting artists?

Together with the team we choose the artists depending on the place we organize the party, taking into account what people like and what we like too!

We are currently working on showcases for the brand and the label for Spain, to give new artists a chance.

How do you balance the creative aspects of being a DJ and artist with the business side of running events and a record label?

I am currently working with a great team who are my friends and my business partners. We all have our own role, Pastel (Jesus) & Manu Hernandez who organize the events, and Red Effects (Javi) & Carbajo (Chema) who are A&R at our Label.

Who is someone within your scene that is a real inspiration to your work?

Jamie Jones has always been a great influence, I really like the way he organizes his events and labels… of course with a modern and Up-to-date sound!

He is my main source of inspiration, but we cannot forget very talented guys from Spain such as Hector Couto and Cuartero.

Finally, What are your plans for 2024? Any upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited about?

2024 is going to be a terrific year! For the very first time I will visit European countries such as The Netherlands, Italy and France, as well as USA and Chile.

I will also make my label debut on Manda Moor’s label, Mood Child and Classmati’s label, Organic Pieces.

I am currently working on new collaborations with Discip, Caal, Kirik, Niteplan and VidaLoca…

I really want you guys to listen to what’s coming!
