Artists GAWP and Bacosaurus have combined forces again on their new single, ‘Raw‘. The track is out now on DIRTYBIRD Records and is the label debut for Seattle native Bacosaurus.

Label boss Claude Vonstroke specializes in a brand of house music he describes as “tech funk” and this track certainly has attributes that could qualify it to fit under that descriptor. The track combines a catchy and consistent bassline, nicely placed vocal samples, and futuristic tech-sounding effects to craft a track that resembles that classic DIRTYBIRD sound that is sure to please bass-lovers everywhere.

UK-based GAWP has a track record of releases on labels such as Toolroom and Spinnin’ Deep among others. He gained early support from artists like Idris Elba and Walker & Royce, and went on to accompany Oliver Heldens on an extensive US tour. Rising artist Bacosaurus has already seen support ranging from headliners like Fedde Le Grand to underground powerhouses like J. Worra. He previously released an EP titled ‘See You Later, Oscillator’ in 2019 in collaboration with GAWP as well on tastemaker label Anabatic Records. While the artists have their own sets of accolades and are in different stages of their respective careers, they have proven to have a great chemistry in working on tracks together.
