While only new to the house landscape, having dropped his debut release ‘Sweet Memories’ in October of this year, Manchester-based DJ/producer Deepmore is keen to make his mark and set his stamp on things pretty quickly as he showcases his take on the genre. Delivering his sophomore EP in style, he heads to Folamour’s blossoming House Of Love imprint for a collection of four productions with influences spanning house and disco as he readies his latest EP, ‘Touch Of Love’.

“This EP is all about my passion for dance and live music by combining elements of my favourite funk and disco genres with classic elements of groove and house music. The whole EP is filled with a lot of drums, which is related to how I started my musical career, and of course, the basslines are an important element for the groove” – Deepmore.

Lead track ‘Oui’ is a production showcasing his passion for the deeper side of things, with rich chords, resonant sax riffs and sweeping melodies taking hold to incorporate a mix of live instrumentation and disco loops, while ‘Funks’ combines old-school elements with killer bass licks, smooth horns and bright organ stabs for a sun-soaked, hazy journey to kicked-back holidays on the coast. Next, ‘Can Do’ is a track perfectly summed up by Deepmore as ‘full of floatiness’, with soulful vocals bringing a classic house touch above crisp, shuffling drums, before ‘Full of Madness’ closes the show by drawing on further classic touches as swinging percussion, commanding organ patterns and a snaking bassline take things into the late night hours.
