Following his impressive label debut on Sirup Music back in November 2020 with the breathtaking minimal house cut, Timebound – and once again in January with the hugely successful follow up Melting – hotly-tipped Mexican producer Sour now makes his eagerly-anticipated third outing on the prolific Swiss imprint, as he unveils his latest majestic masterpiece, Can’t Live Without You.

Out now, Can’t Live Without You is the latest instalment in a slew of remarkable releases from the abounding Mexican talent over the past twelve months, who now teams up with new producer KAESE for the pair’s epic debut collaboration, and the first official release of KAESE’s career to date.

We caught up with the budding deep house talent to find out more…

Hi Sour and a very warm welcome to Music Is 4 Lovers! How are you?

Hey! Thanks a lot for having me. I’m doing great, excited about my latest release.

First things first, please can you introduce yourself to our readers?

I’m 22 and I’m a music producer from Mexico. I started out by making Future Bass but pivoted into the house realm a couple of years ago. All my releases range from Electro to Minimal House.

Where are you based and what’s the situation like there now? Have things started opening up again?

I’m based in Queretaro, a small city close to Mexico City. The COVID situation is getting better but still not as good as we’d want to. Things have been slowly opening up but I personally haven’t been going out.

How would you best describe your sound?

Hypnotic, dreamy, dark & melancholic house music.

When did you start producing and what were you doing before you decided to make a leap into the world of music?

I started producing properly in late 2019. Before actively making music, I used to spend my time hanging out with friends, going out, high school, etc.

Who would you say were your biggest musical inspirations?

Flume was the first artist that made me want to dive into the world of music production. Some of my biggest musical inspirations are Beach House, M83, Zhu, and more.

Congratulations on your new single ‘Can’t Live Without You’. What can fans expect from this release?

Thank you! They can expect a combination between Deep, Chill & Melodic House. Say something you’d listen to at a chill music festival or brunch event.

What was it like working with KAESE?

It was great! We actually met online and managed to get this one off the ground completely remotely. We might have another collaboration soon as well.

How did the introduction to Sirup Music come about?

Several months ago I sent them my song “Timebound” through a label/artist connection platform and they signed it. Ever since we’ve kept a great relationship. This is the third song released with them and I’m pretty sure there will be more in the future.

Do you have any other releases that you’d like to share with us?

For sure! A few weeks ago I released an Electro Chill House song called “Valleys of Perspective”.

What else do you have coming up over the course of 2021? Any exciting projects or touring you can talk to us about?

No confirmed dates yet but I can tell you I’ll have another release in the next couple of months and probably an EP by the end of the year.

Any final words for our MI4L readers?

Thanks to everyone who has been supporting my music, it means a lot.

Thanks for your time and we wish you all the best for 2021!
