True Romance continues to cast rays across floors with a fresh two-tracker courtesy of a new addition to the label – EMJIE.
Based in Brussels – EMJIE is a lover of myriad art forms. She draws influence from art, design, and music, channeling her passion with avidity into expressive club music that sits in a sweet spot between Italo, Indie, Disco, and House. ‘Owner Of A Lovely Heart’ kicks things off with a purposeful groove. Straight drum work slaps while an E-Bass juts under hedonic synths and blissfully twisted fx.
‘Life Generator’ then follows up some cinematic drama. Minor-key melodies, thick percussion, and arresting sequencing showcase an artist with a real skill for creating memorable dance floor moments.
