Christophe Dubé aka CRi just released a new track called “Never Really Get There” featuring Jesse Mac Cormack which displays the complexities of CRi’s production capabilities and proves to have potential to be a prominent dance track of the summer.

The single draws on the alternative electronic dance sounds of CRi and the catchy melodic vocals of Jesse to create a dream-like song that captures the idea of not meeting the expectations you set in life. The song blends melancholy melodies with a rhythmic beat in order to produce a sound that is very melodic yet full of energy.

Along with the release of the song is a music video by CRi’s sister, Alexa-Jeanne Dubé who is a well known director and filmmaker in Montréal. The music video captures the essence of the song by showcasing people through their windows enjoying time in their homes. The video was inspired by the lockdown many of us are still experiencing.

CRi has made a noteworthy mark with his early singles ‘Rush’ and ‘Don’t’, which also had award-nominated music videos to go along with them. He has also been nominated for Electronic Release of The Year at the 2018 Juno Awards. It is safe to say we can expect great things to come from the French Canadian producer.
