If the electronic scene in Rio de Janeiro has the strength and representation that it currently has nationwide, it is due to the work of artists who have struggled for many years in the musical flourishing of the state, such as the duo Bruce Leroys.

The project led by Diogo Vaille and Marcelo Abreu has been rocking dance floors across Brazil for a long time, confirming the duo’s unique and inspiring musical harmony. With attentive ears, Bruce Leroys has an identity that goes beyond the dance floor references, presenting a contemplative, modern and catchy musicality that fits perfectly into many daily moods.

Over these years of experience, the duo has already had the prestige of performing at major festivals across Brazil, such as RMC, RioMe, Fusion Stage, and above all in a memorable edition of Rock in Rio 2019, in addition to being on the stages of Warung, D-Edge, Beehive and Fosfobox.

As music producers, the list of releases is also long. With releases signed by Get Physical, Yoshitoshi Recordings, OFF Recordings, Parquet, Kittball and Cocada Music — where they received a remix by Ricardo Villalobos — the duo has a great musical journey, which makes the project a true House Music class.

At the end of 2020, the duo delivered a lovely single in collaboration with Bernardo Campos, Icle and Bia Barros on Wire Records. “Dos Cuerpos” brought a soft, tropical melody starring Bia’s vocals, and the solar atmospheres that are innate characteristics of Bruce Leroys’ identity. Then came the collaboration with the Nu Azeite duo for “Boogie-Tão” on Tropical Disco – one of the hottest labels at the moment when it comes to Disco Music.

Bruce Leroys’ partnership with the Underdogs crew from Rio de Janeiro is also something that has become firmer over the last few months. What started with “Dos Cuerpos” was repeated through the Connected EP that stood out as the debut of Underdogs Music’s work as a label. The track brought the Afro House nuances with a Tropical House feeling, and received a special remix by German producer Tigerskin.

Still strengthening this partnership, Bruce Leroys debuted a collaboration with Morgado and Ollvr for Timale EP, second Underdogs Music release. In a tribal balance of ancient atmospheres, the EP featured two tracks: “Timale” and “Wakanda”, where the title track received a remix by the Panamanian duo K.E.E.N.E.

The final stretch of 2021 still comes with some more Bruce Leroys news that we will see soon. Find out by connecting with them below:
