Hailing from sunny Southern California, the man with a techno plan, Brandon Heinz, has given us a surprisingly dark and sinister track given the beautiful locale he inhabits. The track starts off with a fairly unassuming kick and bass line, but what immediately sets Anatolia apart is the off kilter trumpets that come in full swing around the 1 minute mark and take things up a couple notches. After that it’s full speed ahead for this funky, big-room techno assault weapon. I find time and again tracks that fail to keep it interesting past the four or five minute mark and Anatolia manages to do that where others fall flat.
