Emerging as one of the most innovative minds to rise from London’s underground circuit, Ben Sterling has earned plaudits from some of the most trustworthy tastemakers in the industry, with a list that includes the Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Eats Everything, and Jamie Jones, to name a few. Making his debut on Factory 93, the UK ‘groove technician’ has just dropped his latest single, ‘Eeez’.
“I’ve always been extremely into electro and acid records” says Sterling. “Sometimes, I just get in the groove making certain style beats and this came out one day.” – Ben Sterling.
Gleaning from his affinity for acid and electro, ‘Eeez’ contains all the right elements to push dancefloors over the edge – crisp 808s, sloshing droplet samples, staticky industrial textures and hissing hats. Add in a hypnotic spoken word vocal with a commanding allure, and the track’s heady, undulating acid-fuelled arpeggiations, and it’s easy to see that this one is going to be a big record for both Sterling and Factory 93 over the summer.
