Swiss pair Animal Trainer are next up on Nazca Records and one the label says, “takes us to the next adventure of the Nazcas, the ones that live for the love of art, and Viracochas, beings from a distant world ready to learn about us.”
Up first is Emerald which has raw drum fills that amp the groove, but some nice breakdowns to get you thinking. It’s enchanting music for late at night and makes for a really atmospheric listen. It is Pera that steals the show here with tumbling toms and rubbery bass, warped drums and spooky samples all permeating the groove. It’s a fine way to end a fine EP.
