London-based queer Asian DJ and producer AC (dot robot) presents London 2026, a four-track EP documenting a period of change, independence and self-discovery through four distinct seasons.
Written between autumn 2025 and summer 2026, the EP follows AC as she moves beyond student life and establishes herself in London. Having first moved to the city from China aged 18, her experiences as a young immigrant and queer woman run through a record concerned with belonging, relationships, loneliness, freedom and finding her own identity.
Musically, London 2026 shows a more reflective side to an artist known for high-intensity techno, trance and hardcore. Opening track “No Regret” was conceived during a flight from China back to London, five years after AC first arrived in the city. Reflecting on the discrimination, harassment, heartbreak and self-doubt she encountered along the way, the track ultimately centres on freedom and the decision to continue pursuing the life she chose.
Winter follows with “The Worst of Me”, the EP’s most exposed moment, confronting possessiveness, guilt and the damage caused within a relationship with another woman. Spring arrives with “Rocky”, which folds the sound of the traditional Chinese pipa into melodic electronics, before “Summertime Daydream” closes the record by looking back towards the seemingly endless summers of childhood, gradually allowing that warmth to give way to homesickness and the realities of growing older away from home.
Together, the four tracks form what AC describes as a “mini audio diary”, capturing four seasons and four different versions of herself during a formative period of her life.
Based in London, AC (dot robot) emerged as a DJ in 2024 and has since played Village Underground, E1, Colour Factory, The Cause and XOYO, alongside appearances at SXSW and FKA twigs’ album release party. Her production work includes releases with Adhesive and a remix of NLI-Riot premiered by Berlin platform MOTZ.
