Shlømo has shared another glimpse of his forthcoming HEARTCORE LP, enlisting Mexican producer Junkie Kid for the high-impact new single ‘NOT THE SAME’.
Out February 13 on Taapion Records, the track sees the pair build on their previous studio chemistry with a cut that straddles hard techno ferocity and hardstyle punch. Driven by relentless percussion, compressed synth pressure and a soaring vocal line, ‘NOT THE SAME’ is geared squarely towards peak-time floors while retaining an emotive core.
Speaking on the collaboration, Shlømo explains: “Working again with Junkie Kid felt natural for me. He’s a true hardstyle prodigy, with a sharp and uncompromising sound. This track was built between Paris and Mexico, often late at night because of the time difference — that nocturnal tension really shaped the energy of the record.”
Junkie Kid adds: “This second collaboration between Shlømo and I, it’s just the result of the love we both have for ‘melodic breaks’ and ‘hard drops’. We decided to join forces again to bring something fresh to our fans”.
A brutal yet vulnerable cut that captures Shlømo’s ongoing evolution at full force.
