San Francisco producer/DJ n808 is back with his new two-track The Ocho EP out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.
The third release from Dirtybird’s inaugural Flight Week camp sees the native San Franciscan embrace the collaborative nature of the writing sessions, enlisting fellow Bay Area producers Mike Kerrigan and Clayton William for the EP. Each track balances dancefloor-ready momentum with unexpected sonic twists, showcasing n808’s growth as a producer under Dirtybird’s wing. ‘Buckle Up’ rumbles with bubbling low ends and snappy rhythms, while ‘Stuck To The Floor’ ascends with shiny synth stabs and a hypnotic topline from Marieme. The Ocho fuses n808’s experimental grooves with playful sound design, capturing the spontaneous energy of the camp and offering a vibrant snapshot of the Bay Area’s thriving electronic music scene.
San Francisco-based producer and DJ n808 has quickly become one of Dirtybird’s most promising rising talents. n808 first appeared on the 2018 Campout West Compilation, and has since made regular appearances with ‘Penguin Hit Squad’ with Mike Kerrigan (2022), ‘The Cat’s Pajamas’ as part of Dirtybird Players Compilation (2023) and ‘Caddy’ with GOLES (2024). Earlier this summer, n808 joined the label for their inaugural Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights.
