UK Based band of artists, creatives and spiritual guides The Butterfly Wheel return with their enigmatic, powerful and emotive new album “Behind the Veil,”. Described by the band as a journey into the unseen, exploring themes of love, loss, transformation, and the mysteries beyond the physical world.
“Behind the Veil” was written in sacred spaces and nature, with tracks like “Technicolour,” “Prayer,” and “Love” emerging from Shoreditch Church. The album invites listeners to transcend the material realm and connect with something greater. The album cover is a handwoven tapestry symbolizing fate, showcasing the bands independent and DIY spirit. “Behind the Veil” is also dedicated to myrrh’s mother who passed away last year.
The Butterfly Wheel offers a blend of music and immersive performance, often set in sacred spaces with theatrical elements. Their live performances aim to awaken the spirit and touch the soul.
““The song is a dedication to myrrh’s mother, who passed away last year. It’s about navigating the space between the living and the spirit world and finding peace in the unknown.” – Ryan/ The Butterfly Wheel
“A calling home to our selves and each other, each song has its own unique quality both lyrically and melodically that reverberates through the body and touches the soul with its powerful evocations of deep truth, strong female vocals and emotive and compelling instrumentals, inspiring and embracing the listener into their own depth of being.” – Alice/ The Butterfly Wheel
