New York tech-house mainstay Westend and Las Vegas-based up-and-comer Modapit today release their new single ‘Technophobic’ out now via Westend’s Trace Amounts.

‘Technophobic’ brings the two producers together for a high-energy, electro-charged cut that nods to the futuristic edge of Daft Punk. Combining Westend’s maximalist approach with Modapit’s industrial-leaning sound, the track swerves through progressive-tinged builds and shadowy twists and turns as gritty synths zipper against thumping percussion. A driving topline gives ‘Technophobic’ its unmistakable punch, fusing retro-futurist textures with peak-time energy into a club weapon built for maximum impact.

‘Technophobic’ arrives amid a massive year for Westend, who has carried his signature tech-house sound to stages across the country with performances at Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, Day Trip, and Breakaway, alongside his first Las Vegas residency at LIV. On the release front, he’s continued to expand Trace Amounts’ discography with his Knicks-inspired single ‘Feels Better’ and collaboration ‘Sensational’ with Twin Diplomacy, while also making his return to Experts Only with ‘The Ceiling’.

Next month, Westend will bring that momentum to Cermak Hall in Chicago on November 13 for his biggest headline show to date, marking another major moment in a year that has seen him reach new heights both onstage and through Trace Amounts.
