Sicilian DJ and production duo VLTRA have linked up with fast-rising electronic producer John Summit on killer club cut ‘Legacy’, released on 29th September via Summit’s own imprint Experts Only.

With VLTRA on the track, ‘Legacy’ takes on a whole new dimension. A hypnotic spoken-word vocal combined with ferocious bass, the pairing have created an irresistible synergy that’s bound to leave an indelible mark on dancefloors.

Speaking about the collaboration, VLTRA elaborate, “We created this track starting from old school sounds, mixing them with our raw touch and adding a hypnotic vocal. We sent to John and he took the production to the next level by adding percussive and synth elements. We really feel this one!”

VLTRA’s unique sound is marked by its solidity and incorporation of funk elements, drawing inspiration from the underground music scene. Their rawness infuse the track with a relentless energy, making it a clear nod to their club experience.

The duo was established in 2014 and the VLTRA project officially launched in 2018. At the end of 2020 PAWSA gave support by playing ‘Supastar’ with Francis De Simone, and signed it to Solid Grooves. In just a week the record reached the Beatport Tech-House Top 10 and 60th in the Beatport chart overall. In 2021, VLTRA’s track ‘Zilla’ in collaboration with Kyle Walker was one of the definitive tracks of the summer, with support from the world’s biggest DJs and a Top 3 spot on Beatport.

2022 was an important year for the duo as they made their Ibiza debut, with their unreleased tracks highly sought after by the underground music scene. Their version of the historic track ‘Bananza (Belly Dancer)’ on Repopulate Marsreached the number one spot on the Beatport Bass House chart and stayed there for over a month. This year they signed their release ‘Flowcito’ with Loco Dice’s new label SB Recordings, who after falling in love with the single also released an official remix, with the track reaching the Top 20 Tech-House and the TOP 100 on Beatport overall.

Fresh from a summer on the road across Europe and the US, ‘Legacy’ also pays homage to John Summit’s club experiencerevisiting his tech house foundations after a string of chart-topping vocal records, most notably ‘Where You Are’ featuring Hayla.

‘Legacy’ sets the scene for an explosive end to 2023 for the Italian dancefloor duo.
