Stripping back the original, the Scottish production duo rebuild TWOFACED’s ‘Yearning’ into a remix for the most uncompromising corners of the dancefloor After pushing their sound into sharper, hard house territory across 2026, wunderkind production duo TWOFACED pass their latest release ‘Yearning’ into the hands of prolific techno duo Clouds for a high-impact rework built for the unbreakable end of the dancefloor. Where the original thrived on lift and release, Clouds’ rework takes a more direct route. Locking into a low-slung groove early, the duo trade the original’s wide-eyed euphoria for a driving garage and UK funky sound that feels deliberately unpolished. The rework makes a bold switch from escape to immersion, while the emotional pull of TWOFACED’s original production stands strong. Clouds have built the track for even darker rooms and primed for blown out systems. Clouds — the project of Liam Robertson and Calum Macleod — operate on the fringes of techno’s more uncompromising edges. Through their extensive catalogue the Scottish duo have carved out a sound rooted in intensity, drawing from hardcore, jungle and industrial textures. With notable collaborations, including KETTAMA’s 2025 cut ‘Sort It Out’, Clouds hold a firm place across the techno and trance scenes, a position that naturally feeds into their rework of TWOFACED’s ‘Yearning’, reshaping it into something both fluid and physical. Following the breakout success of their 2025 single ‘I Need You’ on Positiva Records, which was propelled by support from Calvin Harris, Malugi, DJ HEARTSTRING and X CLUB.,  TWOFACED have quickly established themselves as the most fascinating risers in the hard house circuit. Moving fluidly between melodic house, trance-leaning and harder club sounds, the New Zealand duo continue their ascent across the UK and EU scenes. After completing a 10-date debut UK and Ireland tour, including support for Morgan Seatree and Oppidan, Bodie and Daniel are now gearing up for a busy summer with festival appearances at Teletech, Sammy Virji Curates Finsbury Park, Terminal V Croatia and Wild Gardens.
