Continuing their inspiring trajectory, Billboard Dance’s Emerging Artists & Pete Tong’s ‘Future Stars’ for 2021, TIBASKO return to Another Rhythm / Three Six Zero Recordings to release future dance anthem ‘ICARO’.

A South American indigenous colloquialism meaning magic song, ICARO as a track lives up to this description. TIBASKO’s creations hold depth in their musical experiences that includes impressive global travels, allowing them to explore elements of breakbeat, melodic house, more techno sounds, world music and original instrumentation. In ‘ICARO’ they further demonstrate their intention to create powerful, club ready techno destined for big room dancefloors and festivals alike.

“After being away from the club environment for more than a year and half due to COVID-19, hearing electronic music once again on huge sound systems inspired us to create something more club-oriented. We were keen to showcase our ability to make devastating dance floor weapons as well as more melodic and emotional material. Icaro is a thumping techno track built for warehouse raves and giant sound systems, showing off a deep, booming kick and a haunting Bulgarian folk chant that helps to drive the energy of the track. We wanted to set ourselves away from what most other techno artists were doing, so in classic TIBASKO fashion, we crafted a powerful, multi-layer arp to bring everything together towards the end of the track.” –TIBASKO

TIBASKO’s ability to evoke intense, heartfelt emotions while never losing sight of the dancefloor is precisely what connects them so firmly to their audience; with their catalogue consistently issuing prime examples of their impressive alchemy.

The pairs productions have seen a wide range of support with their music championed by the likes of Denis Sulta, The Blessed Madonna, Pete Tong, John Digweed, Franky Wah, Hammer and TSHA. Their ‘Alma’ EP has accumulated +1m Spotify streams and this year’s ‘The One’ is being supported relentlessly by super-producer Diplo on SiriusXM, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

With dancefloor’s back in action, the guys have continued their aspiration to build deeper and emotional connections with their audiences in a range of shows including The Cause, Queen’s Yard Summer Party, Creamfields, Motion Bristol, the Detonate Festival and their first European booking at the Poney Club in Toulouse.

This purveyance of their authenticity had TIBASKO named in ‘The Hot List’ of acts on BBC Introducing in both to reaching number 3 in Kiss FM’s ‘One To Watch’ list in 2019 & 2020. It has now led them to become Pete Tong’s ‘Future Stars’ and Billboard Dance’s ‘Emerging Artists’ in 2021; TIBASKO are ever blossoming, showing zero sign of slowing down.
