The Deep End returns, teaming up with Music is 4 Lovers & Staybad for the 3rd annual Chic N’ Freak NYE party at the luxurious Coasterra on Harbor Island. With such a massive line-up featuring Danny Daze, Wolf + Lamb, and a stack of local titans ready to provide the soundtrack for the night, we wanted to take a moment to spotlight some of these amazing artists and their works.

Chic N’ Freak 2020 is split into 3 separate stages with 3 different vibes.. Chic, Freak, & Trippy!

Chic

Music Is 4 Lovers is holding down the barge with very special guest, Wolf + Lamb! Catch yourself surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, in our most intimate view of the San Diego skyline, with huge sound thumping you into 2020.

Who could forget this deep groover from Wolf + Lamb they put out on their label a decade back?? Pure class!

And holding down support for them is MI4L’s own, Jimbo James & Ramin. Here’s a live b2b set from these two taken at a Sunday is 4 Lovers party earlier this year, packed with driving house gems.

Freak

The Deep End beacons you to enter the realm of booty bass, 303s, 909s, and flashing lights!

They say once a freak, always a freak and Miami grown Danny Daze has always pushed the boundaries of dance music. From his 2011 mega hit ‘Your Everything’ to his new label Omnidisc, Daze’s celebrated 19 year career has crossed genres, connected generations, while never sacrificing his risk-taking approach.

Supporting Daze are The Deep End founders Eric Medina & Cris Herrera.
Cris Herrera’s dance floor prowess and latest release w/ Homero Espinosa and Tokita on Get Physical Records is sure to turn the heat up.

Da Trippy Disco

Staybad comes full-force this year providing a trippy silent-disco experience in the midst of the madness. Grab some headphones, pick your channel, and get lost with 250 other dancing machines in this b2b style disco featuring a slew of San Diego’s brightest selectors.

The Staybad artists have been surging this year, with releases all over the map including a strong wave of catalog releases since launching as a label in May. From the monster tech house collaboration, Kilimanjaro from DuBeats & Post Script off the first Staybad & Friends release..

To the latest deep groover, Time from Nik Thrine and H2H off the 6th Staybad release..

Staybad’s diverse sound and fun vibe is the icing on the cake for an already amazing night-to-be.

Come ring in 2020 in the best fashion imaginable – with amazing music, wonderful people, and the coolest venue in San Diego!
