Rising star Saraga arrives on Bedouin’s Human By Default with ‘Santa Maria EP’ this June
Tel Aviv-based Saraga has previously released on established labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Rumors Records, Robsoul Recordings and Nervous Records, picking up support from the likes of Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers and Damian Lazarus amongst others. Now making moves as a DJ on the biggest stages, his latest release for Bedouin’s Human By Default label sees the Israeli artist deliver a deep, sophisticated EP.
‘Santa Maria’ opens up with meticulously crafted House beats rolling deep under enchanting string sounds and intoxicating vocals, making for an organic and fresh sound. The sunny ‘Madame Paris’ has lush flute and sax motifs floating over a chunky beat with seductive vocal mutterings drawing the listener under their spell.
Saraga’s accomplished production techniques again define the fluttering percussive loops of the grooving ‘El Dorado’. Another vocal this time unfolds over the stripped-back but warm drums which become layered up with ever more synth tension. Finally, the brilliant ‘Chambacú’ is a steamy and tropical house with jumbled drums, hits and toms under yearning vocals and romantic trumpet hooks.
