Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings round out an exceptional year with another magical EP, this time from Re.You, the long time house champion who still turns out continually fresh beats.
He has been doing so for top labels like Moon Harbour and Kompakt as well as his own Younion label and many more, all while playing around the world at the most esteemed clubs.
Karpfengasse is first and is a superbly deep and enchanting track with frazzled lead synths unfolding over rubbery drums. It takes you late into the night on a heady and hypnotic groove. Possibility is a more melodic track with crystalline keys ranging down over the warm and atmospheric drums. Deep Down is a more driving and edgy cut with a synth riff and muffled, tribal sounding vocals getting you on your toes then a dub of Karpfengasse closes out in sublime fashion.
As always with this label, this is brilliantly brain soothing music that is stylish and effective
