A name undoubtedly backing up early promise, having emerged as one of the scene’s hottest rising names, West Coast DJ/producer and label boss Ranger Trucco looks set for an extremely busy 2024 after clocking up his most active 12 months to date. Alongside music via Archie Hamilton’s MicroHertz and appearances from Club Space to Splash House, his range. imprint has become a central hub to showcase his growing sound, housing six seasonal offerings since its launch in the spring of ‘22 while becoming one of the hottest new labels on the circuit – exemplified via its position within Beatport’s Top 10 selling Minimal/Deep Tech labels of 2023. Opening the New Year, late January brings a new chapter of the project’s evolution as Trucco welcomes external artists for the very first time, with Belgian talent Lunoize landing to kick things off via his ‘Mint Tea’ EP.

“The range. label was started as a self-releasing outlet focused on showcasing a range of different sub- genres and sounds. Since its inception 2022, the support garnered has been greater than we ever imagined possible. Thanks to this, we go forward in 2024 opening it up to you all – the listeners, producers, and fans.

It’s time for range. to not only journey through sound, but also across the world to discover, support, and humanize artists from all over with a common love for the deep, smooth and melodic side of music that brings us together on the dance floor.” – Ranger Trucco.

Lead effort ‘Mint Tea’ is a vibrant cut merging classic house and subtle garage touches as skippy drums and a slinking core bassline work amongst sultry female vocal snippets and bright string melodies, while the warping and twisting ‘Partytime’ veers towards those later night hours, fusing cosmic electronics, punchy kicks and hazy pads.
