Simon HuxtableSergio Maldonado returns to the label with ‘Horizon’.
The LA-based producer has more than 15 years in the scene starting out as a DJ at the turn of the century. Initially a Trance producer with releases on Armada and Black Hole and radio play on BBC Radio 1, after a short hiatus he returned to the industry favouring deeper sounds which have been snapped up by labels such as Haustronaut and Water Bear.
Opening with a smooth ‘80s keys, ‘Horizon’ is a classy piano houser for the end of the night. Sparse percussion allows plenty of room for intricate melodics, vocal adlibs and that summery piano. Absolutely essential tunage!
