Following their sold out vinyl only debut, California based UK Garage outfit, Hot Dime Recordings, returns for their sophomore release, ‘In My Eyes,’ the first ever digital title, and fifth overall, from the 12 Inches Deep family of labels. Taking cues directly from the single + alternative mix packages that were widely popular through the nineties, HOTDIME002G features five mixes, of an ultra addictive, original that dares to blend elements of 2 step garage, modern dance pop, and timeless r&b influences into a potent, underground ready package. Making her first appearance as an artist on the label roster, though having already performed in live showcases for both imprints, Rosebud brings her signature, silky smooth, and soulful tones to drive the record, demonstrating her rare, effortless, versatility as a vocalist, and songwriter. To support the original, three remixes have been commissioned, with a standout re-rub in “Echelon’s Scott Tonic Mix,” from another new addition to roster, none other than renowned production don, Scott Diaz (as his new UKG focused alias), plus a pair of cuts direct from label founders, in a sweet, and dreamy, take in “Urbanite’s Summertime Dub Mix,” accompanied by a rolling, futuristic ride in percussion with “An Expresso’s MPC Mix,” all capped off by a producer-dj friendly acapella, to close out another essential package from the 12 Inches Deep – Hot Dime collection.
