Boston-based multi-genre artist Nick Minieri returns to Seed Underground with a new EP, his third on the label. Always looking to find the intersection between disparate styles, Minieri heavily relies on the TB-303 on this project to bridge two unrelated sounds together: UK garage and techno. With several originals spanning both styles, intricate 303 leads snarl their way around funky percussion and through the higher registers, while also doing double-duty on bass. The key tracks on this project swing heavily and get their point across quickly, relying on unconventionally short durations to suit the attention span of the modern listener. It is one of many modern-day takes on an increasingly genre-free world.
