Newly minted, Made In Glasgow Recordings welcome Manakinz to their roster and hand over the reins to the label’s fourth release. A new project from James ‘Harri’ Harrigan and Max Raskin aka Affi Koman, Manakinz caught our ear with a stunning debut on the always impressive, Let’s Play House out of NYC.

Harri is synonymous with Glasgow’s vibrant House scene. His much loved and record-breaking 29-year residency, Subculture at the Sub Club, is the foundation for the venue’s growth into one of the UK’s premier dance clubs. With a long list of releases as The Pa Pa Washington Trio, Daddy’s Favourite, H Foundation, DJ Harri & The Revenge and Burnt Island Casuals, his production credits are literally mind-blowing. Keeping it well and truly in the family, Harri’s son Jasper James is one of house music’s rising stars.

Affi Koman started DJing in Glasgow clubs in 2006 with a residency at the Liquid Lounge. He later became resident at Sunday Circus for 9 fun-filled years, earning him a solid reputation as one of the city’s most exciting and innovative new DJs.

Here the guys serve up two slices of warm, percussive and hypnotic house. The flip side cut, “Mucho Tranquilo” carries psychedelic vibes into deep territory with cheeky cowbells and sun-kissed Spanish dialogue wrapping it all up perfectly. Slow burning action to push the crowds far into the wee hours of the night.
