Superfreq continues to define its own unique sound world with a debut EP from Ilario Liburni and Igor Vicente that serves up three superb sonic trips.
Producer, remixer, DJ and label owner, multifaceted artist Igor Vicente is a resident at Cafe D’Anvers and State of Flow label boss, while Belgian Ilario Liburni runs Invade Records & Cardinal Records and has his own seductive house style. Together here they cook up real gold.
Excellent opener Time is a loose and warped house groove with plenty of futuristic motifs. The drums are chunky, the sound design cinematic, and the whole track will cast a real spell on the floor. Aftakking then gets more freaky, with minimal rubbery grooves run through with fantastically tripped out sonic details, whirring synths and wooden hits. Last of all, Cycle is a full flavour house track that takes you late into the night on curious synth effects, supple drums and a bassline to die for.
This is high grade and stylish house from another dimension.
