Following their releases on Deeperfect, Little Helpers, SCI+TEC, Lapsus, and Moan, Butane pairs up with his regular studio partner Riko Forinson and returns to the Mexican imprint Tenampa. Butane & Riko deliver a techy work-out called ‘My Love’. An edging groover, with plenty of energy which draws you along with its cleverly constructed rhythmic system and rippling synths. As the track develops a speech sample glides in adding a dimension of understated quality.
On the remix duties is Andrew McDonnell from Canada, who is better known for his previous release on Kindisch. Andrew takes matters seriously with a deep stripped back version, radiantely displaying his signature style with solid big basslines, textured atmosphere and subtle changes that keeps you locked in. Third track is ‘After Midnight’ showing that Butane & Riko certainly like to make quality grooves, combining hypnotic hints of vocal, bubbly bassline and neat brass leads. Another winner from Butane, Riko and Andrew. Enjoy!
