Our next new artist is Moscrop with his deep and melodic cut, ‘LFJ’. Remix support comes from Staybad boss, DuBeats.
Bursting onto the scene back in 2014, Newcastle-based Ryan Moscrop made his name as a resident DJ at some of the North Easts best venues including Flux (Leeds), Ill Behaviour (Cosmic Ballroom, Newcastle) and Future Funk (Digital, Newcastle). ‘LFJ’ opens his production account and we are very excited to join him on his sonic journey.
Label owner, promoter and music writer, DuBeats has many hats, but his producer one seems to fit best right now. The San Diego-based artist began as a DJ, but has had recent success with Glasgow Underground topping the Traxsource and Beatport charts, plus releases on Music is 4 Lovers and Lisztomania.
In original form, ‘LFJ’ undulates with an uncanny assuredness. Deep and melodic, it’s the kind of track you’d expect a resident DJ to make and play in their warm ups and late night graveyard shifts. DuBeats adds his West Coast sheen, smoothing the ride out for housier heads.
‘LFJ’ will be Exclusive to Beatport and streaming platforms from Friday 5th February and worldwide two weeks later.
