International favorites from Germany, Milky Chance have shared their newest single, ‘Living In A Haze’, operating as a yearning ode to living freely, whilst simultaneously announcing their forthcoming album which is set for release on June 9.

‘Living In A Haze’ offers a taste of what is to come from the duo’s fourth album. Layered, warping guitar sounds from the opening are soon replaced with upbeat percussives and synths as the pair’s vocal denote their wish to dream and “dance the pain away” – something they discuss upon giving their thoughts on the single:

“Sometimes you lose track of what’s important, live day by day distracted and don’t really know how to get out of it,” the pair explain. “At the same time it seems like everybody around you does not feel that way, life looks so easy when they do it and a desire builds up to have it just like that. So this one‘s for all who wanna be able to dance the pain away”

It’s been a mighty time for Milky Chance since going independent, who have been in an immense creative strive since taking the decision to do so. They’ve unveiled two massive global singles, ‘Colorado’ and ‘Synchronize’, with a further two deeply successful mixtapes to boot, amassing over 1.1 billion streams in 2022 alone totalling 5.5 billion overall.

The build up to the pair’s album release will see a hugely in-demand tour take place across the US and Canada – with almost 70,000 tickets already sold – and the 10th anniversary of iconic debut album Sadnecessary. Combine these with the release of the widely-anticipated fourth album, and it looks like 2023 is set to be another year in which Milky Chance continue their journey to their top with ease.
