The Italian producer behind ‘Rebirth’, ‘Voodoo’ and ‘Control Me’, returns with ‘Give Me Time’ to end the year on a high.

Having first began making music when he first turned 16, the seasoned producer who hails from Italy talks us through his journey through to today.

Have you always wanted to be a musician? When did you get the music bug?

I have always wanted to be a musician since I was a little child, I’ve had a very strong bond with music, but when I was 16 is when I decided to take it more seriously. I first started out as a publicist, and after some time I started playing in several nightclubs in my city. I also went out of my country to study nightlife in different places. One night I was in Switzerland with my best friend, when he turned to me saying “if you combine your name and surname, it creates the name Manaar, this is perfect for your project”. From that night everything was born.

How would you describe your sound? Why do you think people resonate with your music?

My songs are characterized by captivating melodies and powerful drops, I also love to play with the vocals, working with several plugins, and modifying the pitch on many occasions. The goal of my music is to arouse as many emotions and feelings as possible for the listeners.

Which artist’s music and/or performance, past or present, inspires you today?

I’ve always liked every musical genre, I grew up listening to all the nuances of rock. I had my first contact with electronic music, listening to the first Avicii’s productions that fascinated me a lot. I also produce bass house music so I’m inspired by artists like Malaa, Rezz, Chris Lorenzo, Brohug and many others.

Your new single ‘Give Me Time’ has just been released! Describe its origin and evolution.

‘Give Me Time’ was born in a time that was difficult for the entire world population. In those months spent inside my studio, I was able to give life to several tracks including ‘Give Me Time’, one of the most important ones, because of the meaning it has. The main part of this track is the vocals, with a pitch down, which intertwines well with the instruments around it, creating a beautiful atmosphere. The track then evolves with a very powerful drop composed of a catchy melody and a strong bassline.

Is there an EP or Album on the drawing board?

There could be an EP, I have many tracks ready but I’m also working on many projects, so I can not say now with confidence if there will be or not. Time will be the answer.

What are you looking forward to in 2021, and what can the fans expect?

I’m always looking to better myself, I’m sure 2021 will give me many satisfactions. This year I released only two tracks, including ‘Give Me Time’, focusing more on quality than quantity, but it must be said that my real project was born a short time ago, after several years of experimentation and failures, but I always get up and I’m ready to do it again.

MANAAR – ‘Give Me Time’ is available on all platforms now and is brought to you via dynamosounds.
