Not sure if there is a hotter up-and-comer at the moment than Eagles & Butterflies. Bedrock, Noir, Get Physical, and soon to be Innervisions — all feats that have been conquered by the emerging producer’s original music. Most recently of which being two tracks on Get Physical’s “Miami 2015” compilation album — released March 2.

E&B has a tasteful ear for the melodic, driving sounds that can transport his listeners on a resplendent flight. We’re excited to add this young gun to our Lovecast series early before he really blows the f up! Enjoy!

Interview with Eagles & Butterflies:

You’ve been leaving a trail of hot jams lately — original music on Bedrock, Get Physical, Noir, and Innervisions. Wow! Was there a specific turning point when your career started to take off?

For me making music was never really about trying to be successful, or really having any goals; it was just the love of playing with sounds, so when my favorite labels started to sign my music it was an amazing feeling. Working with the likes of Innervisions, Get Physical, and Noir is amazing as these are some of the best electronic labels in the world; and the likes of Dixon & Âme are huge inspirations to me musically. I owe a huge amount to John Digweed and Scott at Bedrock for taking me on and supporting me from the very beginning of Eagles & Butterflies.

One day someone will surely write a biographical essay about the life and times of Eagles & Butterflies – what would the title be?

The Butterfly Effect

Where is home base for you at the moment? Describe the music scene there…

I have just moved to Los Angeles, the music scene is ok but I lived in Ibiza for the last 2 years so nowhere will really compare to there for me.

Tell us about your Data Transmission Radio Show. How did you get started with that? What upcoming episodes are you excited about?

The guys asked me if I new anyone based in Ibiza that would be up for presenting a weekly show for them, so I nominated myself! Its been amaizng so far we have had some great guests, everyone from Fritz Kalbrenner, Re.You, Anja Scniender, Stephen Bodzin, Busy P, Andhim and loads more, a show I;m really excited about as an Innervisions Special thats coming in April.

What other news can you share with us that you’re especially stoked about?

Really excited to play John Digweed’s legendary WMC cruise in Miami; its always nice to be asked by John to play his parties but this one will be super special.

What is your go-to floor-filler at the moment?

It’s a secret, but you’ll find out at the end of March!

Tells about your mix…

It’s a few of my favorite jams by some of my favorite artists, including: Howling, David August, Wolf & Lamb and also my new one on Get Physical — “Tales From Neverland.”

Drink of choice…

Fresh Mango just or Jack Daniels, depending on my mood!

Cheers!
