Having launched the label earlier this year, Dutch DJ and producer Joey Daniel has set the tone for his blossoming SiO Records imprint via a pair of slick EPs alongside fresh music from Argentinian maestro Guti. To close the year, the label founder is back as he delivers a well-crafted package showcasing his style of minimal-leaning house with his ‘The First Agreement’ EP.
‘The First Agreement’ is a smooth production with crisp percussion arrangements, hooky vocals, and a hypnotic groove, with ‘Positive Territory’ merging organic drums with spiralling synths for more early-hours material. Final track ‘Upside Down Jazz’ closes the show as wonky synths weave around the track’s on-point groove.
