Hey guys, how has 2025 started off for you?

Hello friends, the start of the year has been good. We began with the excitement of any DJ and producer, which is playing and making music, but at the same time, with some anxiety due to the distribution and promotion of our new album.

What have been your standout moments of the year so far?

Well, musically, we can say that the production and composition of the album have been great, and we’ve also released several tracks on different record labels that have been very well received, reaching the Beatport Top 100 and the most listened-to charts on Spotify. Artistically, we can say that performing at two major festivals in Spain has been a highlight. Although we are DJs very much focused on clubs, we also love sharing big stages and playing something different for the crowd.

What is the scene in Spain like right now, does it inspire you, does it have its own fresh style?

Well, Spain is a big country, and depending on the area you go to, the scene is different. Barcelona and Ibiza have a very defined scene, while other cities have a much more changing scene, and you have to keep adapting…
It’s difficult to find musical motivation, many colleagues play the same thing, but what’s important here is that people enjoy it and that it works for the promoter.

Tell us why your partnership works, who does what, what you each bring to the studio?

We both work equally, although Victor prefers to quickly create ideas and then work on them, so as not to cut the flow of inspiration, while Jesús is more about finishing what’s started, working on structure or mixing. Victor also takes care of preparing the musical part in our sessions, while Jesús focuses on staying in touch through social media, posting content, and managing all the platforms. We can’t tell you why we work or why people like us, that’s a question for our listeners, but I can tell you that we aim to make House or Tech House that is fun, with a lot of vocals, beautiful and danceable, and above all, trying to walk that fine line of not crossing into something too commercial, but also not going too deep into dark underground. We want to convey a sense of party, good vibes, so that people who listen to us or come to see us know they’re going to have a good time 100%, we don’t fail on that.

And what is your signature style do you think?

Our style lies in the fun side of Tech House and the more cultured side of House music. Our characteristic is that we can produce any style. We like to change things up, make different music, go in one direction and then another. We get bored of always doing the same thing. We believe innovation lies in fusion and doing different things, improving them, and doing it for ourselves. If the audience shares it, even better.

That’s why people like us, because it’s not just that we know how to do it, but that we enjoy it, put love and work into every track, and people can feel that. We love House music and electronic music in most of its branches, which is why we go to many parties of all kinds—House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic… We capture the impressions and reactions of the audience to bring them into our new ideas.

Tell us about your new album, where and when you wrote it?

Our album was produced and written in our town. We live in a small village in the south of Spain called Burguillos del Cerro in Badajoz. We started writing it in March 2024, and our friend and partner Adnor, who is the singer behind the lyrics and the story of the album, stayed with us for a few days at our place. We spent 4 days locked in the studio, morning, afternoon, and night… it was something incredible. That’s where all the ideas started, the inspiration was overflowing, but after that, we spent over a year and several months working on the hard part, which is finishing the ideas, giving them meaning, mixing them, and finding the motivation to continue projects you haven’t touched in a long time.

And did you switch up your usual style and try anything new or is it a continuation of it?

We’ve done something completely different from what we’ve been doing. For this album, we focused on creating 100% House music with real instruments, something that you can listen to, but also feel… It’s not the first time we’ve produced House, but generally, most of the productions we’ve made are more focused on Tech House with a strong club vibe. We needed to try a new direction while keeping our creativity, which is why this album explores many styles, such as Underground, Afro, and Melodic, while maintaining the same essence.

There are plenty of big melodies and vocal hooks in the music – why is that important?

For us, what makes you move is the beat, but what makes you feel something special are the melodies or vocals—something to connect with, sing along to, release emotions, get excited, and give you goosebumps. And what will always make you remember that song is that melody or vocal.

Do you have any formal background, or are you self taught and just experimenting with melodies?

Honestly, both of us are self-taught. That’s how we started, and that’s how we continue, but we’ve also received help over the years from other colleagues or courses. It’s essential to keep learning in order not to get stuck making basic productions. If you want to take it to the next level, you need to educate yourself much more. Being self-taught is fine, but you end up settling for doing the same things you already know, and you don’t progress.

What else are you working on for the rest of the year?

Well, we’ve released a few tracks, and there are still a few more to come. We’re trying to get them out before the album, some with major labels, but our intention is, once the album promotion is finished, to stop, take a big pause after the album, see if the audience connected with it or not, and then figure out what inspires us to keep working. We believe it’s important to stop and look at things from a distance.
